Meditation refers to a broad range of ancient and modern practices that typically involve regulating one’s awareness in order to achieve a quiet and restful yet highly alert level of consciousness. Since the 1970s, more than a thousand publications have documented the medical, neurological, physiological and psychological benefits of meditation and it has since been used to address a variety of conditions including anxiety, chronic pain, depression, heart disease, insomnia, neurotic habits, psoriasis and substance abuse, among many others.

For all its benefits, however, meditation can be quite challenging—especially for people unused to sitting still for even short stretches of time! For this reason, guided meditations can be very helpful for beginners as the guide or teacher can walk the meditator through the process one step at a time.

Holistic Healing Series
The Holistic Healing Series is a three-hour workshop consisting of breath awareness techniques, guided meditations and time for self-reflection. This workshop series is a wonderful way to begin, jumpstart or deepen your meditation journey. Held every month on Sundays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, these sessions activate, energize, cleanse and clear one’s personal energy, allowing
